How to Become a Christian (Transcript)

Hello. My name's Kevin J Foulger and if you've just seen my personal story of how I became a Christian and why I still am a Christian and you're thinking,
Wow I'd like to know a lot more about that please.

First of all there may be people watching this who think to themselves, Well I don't believe in God. I would suggest if you're in that situation and you would like to have faith that you ask God for it. You just say,

"Lord Jesus, please, if you're real if you really are there and if you really love me - please give me a revelation that this is real and give me a revelation of your love."

So that's what I would suggest for people in that situation.
Then, there may be people thinking,
Wow! I'd like to become a Christian but maybe I'm not good enough.
Well, it's not about how good you are, but it's about how good God is. And it's not about how good you are to try and reach God, but it's about God coming to reach you. And that's why He sent Jesus - to reach you. And The Bible says, (pointing to his copy of The Bible) in here it says in John 3 verse 16 it says,
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
And that's what it is - it's belief in God. And I would suggest that you pray this prayer you just say,

"Dear Lord Jesus please forgive me my sins. Please come and be Lord and Saviour of my life. Please come and live in my heart.
Amen."

Now, if you've prayed that prayer and you've prayed that you've asked Jesus to come into your heart, then there's a lot of promises in The Bible that apply to you now. And one of those promises is that Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13 v 5). And what I would suggest is that you get yourself a copy of The Bible. There are several different translations, but get one that suits you. And just read it and soak up the Word of God. And pray and don't worry about not being good enough, because Jesus will take you just as you are.
